George Smith Patton Jr. was born in San Gabriel, California on November 11, 1885. He came from a very wealthy family and attended the beat out private schools as a young man. This group had the task of driving the Germans out of north-central France afterwards landing on Normandy.
All that year he worked to send away the Germans out of North France, and by late September he had completed that task. Later on in the war he led that same army over the Rhine River and into Austria, which was a great victory for the Allies. His last military position was the military governer of Bavaria.
