Mercutio Character.

Who is he? Mercutio is one of Romeos best tremblers, (the other being Benvolio) and withal related to the Prince Escalus.

Mercutio first appears with the maskers in Act 1 exposure 4, when he delivers his Queen Mab speech and persuades Romeo to take part in the bounce/party and renounce his idea of being merely a torchbearer. He next appears with Benvolio, in hunt of Romeo after the party.

The pursuit morning, the same two are again in search of Romeo, who at last stumbles in and jests with them, when the Nurse (to Juliet) enters, the jesting continues at her expense.

He last appears during Act 3 Scene 1, the afternoon of the mean solar sidereal mean solar day that he is killed.

Mercutio, Benvolio and their followers are in the public red-blooded of the city. The two, as usual, are frolicking around.
